Creative Directive of Gucci, Alessandro Michele decided to impress us and bring quite a special collection this season. Starting from the venue, which for the first time, a Gucci show was presented in Paris. The collection was all about those 80’s looks, bringing the past in the today’s present but in a “Gucci way”. A collection inspired by theater, never ending nights and ordinary life events took place in the Théâtre Le Palace which for many years has been the symbol of the opposite of French life. The collection itself was inspired by Leo de Berardinis and Perla Peragallo and their avant garde styles. Men’s appeared dressed in a kinda sexy style, wearing lowcut leotards and leather and rhinestone dance belt cups, open blouses and chokers. While on the other side, the women collection, was a tribute paid to Janis Joplin and Dolly Parton. The most ‘talked about’ outfit of this collection, is a 80’s pink tracksuit with the face of cartooned Dolly Parton on the shirt. Beside the bold and one of the most special’s collections ever, the show had also one special surprise. In the mid-show “Baby Alone in Babylone” surprised the guests singed by the one and only Jane Birkin. All, in all Gucci has always shown us what to not expect. Follow below some of the pieces of this collection.
